About Rebellion’s End…

The Bible has given us a charge to keep our head in all situations so that we would endure hardship and do the work of God. While the world around us crumbles so do the buildings and the people in it. So how can we as people in this world, survive the fall of the world? This is the essential question that the gospel answers; It’s a survival guide written to a world that craves its own demise…

2Timothy 4: 1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Paul is addressing the believer, who is witnessing everything fall apart around him, even those who he thought were brothers were falling away. Timothy tells these people that they have a job to do, regardless of the conditions of the world around them. This job is to preach the gospel; correcting, rebuking, and encouraging one another with great patience and much thought. Timothy then warns us that despite all of this, people will reject this sound doctrine and seek instead to satisfy their own desire. Still, we have a job to do and that job is continuing to persevere with great patience the task allotted us.

Rebellion’s End has a single aim; to equip the men and women of this world with the tools God has provided us to endure, until that day when God brings about his final justice and ends the rebellion once and for all (Revelation 20).
